Isaiah 6:5

When Isaiah caught a real glimpse of God's holiness, his first response wasn't excitement—it was honest brokenness. He suddenly saw himself clearly. Sometimes that's exactly what we need. We can drift through life comfortable with little sins simply because everyone around us lives the same way.

Notice that Isaiah didn't measure himself against the people around him. He measured himself against God, and that changed everything. Today, try asking God a bold question: "Lord, what do You see in me?" Then sit quietly and let Him answer without rushing to defend yourself.

Isaiah's confession specifically mentioned his lips—his words. That hits close to home for most of us. Gossip, complaints, sarcasm, and harsh replies can become so normal we stop noticing them. This week, ask God to put a guard on your mouth and pay attention to what your speech reveals about your heart.

Here's the good news: God didn't leave Isaiah in his brokenness. The very next thing that happened was cleansing. Honest confession is never a dead end—it's the doorway to forgiveness and a fresh start. God purifies us not to shame us, but to prepare us for something greater.

Purity isn't about pretending to be perfect. It's about staying honest before a holy God and letting Him do the cleaning. Come to Him quickly, confess freely, and trust His grace to do what you never could.
