Isaiah 59:2

Have you ever prayed and felt like your words just hit the ceiling? Sometimes that silence isn't because God has walked away from us. It's because something in our lives has built a wall, and walls don't fall on their own.

Sin rarely feels dramatic in the moment. It's usually small stuff at first — a habit we excuse, a grudge we nurse, a little dishonesty that seems harmless. But each compromise adds another brick, and before long we wonder why God feels far away.

Here's the good news: the wall doesn't have to stay. Today, take five quiet minutes and simply ask God to show you anything standing between you. When He brings something to mind, don't defend it or hide it. Name it honestly, ask His forgiveness, and take one real step to turn from it.

Then make this a daily habit, not a once-a-year cleanup. Deal with sin the way you'd deal with a spill on the kitchen floor — quickly, before it sets in. When you keep short accounts with God, you'll find the closeness you've been missing was closer than you thought.

Father, I don't want anything standing between us. Show me what I've been hiding, forgive me fully, and give me the courage to turn from it today. Thank You that when I come clean, You welcome me back with open arms. Amen.
