It's breathtaking when you stop and think about it. The God who exists outside of time, who reigns from the highest place, says the address where He chooses to live is a humble, honest heart. He isn't looking for impressive people. He's looking for real ones.
So what does that look like on an ordinary day? It looks like saying "I was wrong" without adding excuses. It looks like asking for help instead of pretending you have it all together, and listening to someone fully instead of waiting for your turn to talk.
Humility with God starts the same way. Instead of rushing into your day leaning only on your own strength, pause and admit your need. Tell Him honestly where you're weary, where you've failed, where you're afraid. That kind of honesty isn't weakness — it's an open door.
And here's the promise: God doesn't just tolerate the humble, He revives them. When you stop performing and start being truthful before Him, you make room for His strength to fill the gaps. The low places in your life are exactly where His refreshment flows.
Father, I come to You today with nothing to prove and nothing to hide. Keep me honest and humble before You and the people around me, and breathe fresh life into the tired places of my heart. In Jesus' name, Amen.
