Have you ever felt forgotten? Maybe you showed up somewhere and nobody seemed to notice, or you poured yourself out for people who never said thank you. Here is what God wants you to know today: you are not a name scribbled on a to-do list. You are carved into His hands.
Isaiah 49:16

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.
Think about the difference between writing and engraving. Ink fades, paper gets lost, and sticky notes fall off the fridge. But engraving cuts deep — it is permanent, deliberate, and meant to last. God chose that picture on purpose. Your place in His heart is not up for review, and your worst day did not scratch it out.
So how do you live this out today? When the thought comes — 'I don't matter' or 'nobody sees me' — catch it and answer it out loud: 'I am remembered by God.' Try looking at your own hands during the day and letting them remind you of the hands that hold you. And then treat others like they are engraved too: the coworker everyone overlooks, the neighbor who lives alone, the kid at church who never gets picked.
Remembered people become remembering people. When you stop working so hard to prove you matter, you finally have the freedom to show others they matter. That is what living from identity looks like — not striving for a place in God's hands, but walking through your day knowing you already have one.
Dear Lord, thank You that I am not forgotten and never invisible to You. When doubt whispers that I don't matter, remind me that my name is carved into Your hands. Help me live today with that confidence and pass it on to someone else. Amen.
