God Yahweh, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it, says:
Think about this for a moment: the same God who stretched out the heavens is the one who put breath in your lungs this morning. The Creator of galaxies and oceans knows your name and keeps your heart beating. That is not a distant God. That is a God who is personally involved in your everyday life.
Here is the problem: our focus tends to shrink. When bills pile up or the phone keeps buzzing, our whole world shrinks down to the size of our stress. But this verse invites us to zoom out. Before you check your phone tomorrow morning, step outside or look out a window for one minute and remember who made all of this — and who made you.
Try this during the day too. When worry creeps in, stop and take a slow, deep breath. That breath is a gift straight from God. Let it become a small habit: every deep breath is a reminder that He is still giving, still sustaining, still near.
Whatever you are facing today, it is real, but it is not bigger than the One who spread out the earth. Keep your eyes on the Giver of breath, not just the weight of the moment. Focus changes everything.
And remember, you do not have to hold your life together on your own. The God who made everything is holding you. Rest in that today.
Dear Lord, thank You for being the Maker of heaven and earth and the giver of every breath I take. Help me keep my focus on You today instead of my problems and distractions. Amen.
