Isaiah 28:29

Every one of us faces decisions, from small daily choices to big life-changing ones. Too often we exhaust our own thinking, ask everyone else's opinion, and only come to God as a last resort. Isaiah points us to a better way: God Himself is the wonderful Counselor, and His wisdom never runs out.

Think about what that means. Your advisor might be smart, but God sees the beginning from the end. His counsel is not guesswork or good advice from experience. It is perfect wisdom, offered freely to anyone humble enough to ask for it.

So put this into practice today. Before you make your next decision, pause and pray a simple prayer: "Lord, what do You say about this?" Then open your Bible, because Scripture is one of the main ways God counsels us. Give Him room to speak, and be willing to follow His answer even when it is not the one you were hoping for.

God's wisdom often comes quietly, through a verse that stops you, a godly friend's honest word, or a still small nudge in your spirit. Stay teachable and keep asking. When you build your decisions on His counsel, you can walk forward with peace, even when the road ahead is uncertain.

Father, thank You that You are wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom. Help me bring every decision to You first, and give me the humility to trust Your guidance over my own understanding. In Jesus' name, Amen.
