Yahweh, you are my God. I will exalt you! I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago, in complete faithfulness and truth.
Praise is not just a feeling that shows up when life is going well. Notice the words 'I will exalt you' — that's a decision, not an emotion. You can choose to lift God up today even if your morning started with stress, bills, or bad news. Praise is something you do on purpose.
Isaiah praises God for the wonderful things He has already done. Here's a simple practice: grab a piece of paper and write down three ways God has come through for you. Maybe it was provision when money was tight, peace during a scary season, or a relationship He restored. Your memories of God's faithfulness are fuel for today's praise.
God's plans were made 'long ago' — long before your current problem ever existed. That means nothing on your calendar today has caught Him off guard. When life feels shaky, you can rest knowing the One holding your future has been faithful forever and does not change.
So make it personal, just like Isaiah did: 'You are my God.' Say it out loud in the car, in the kitchen, or on your lunch break. Then tell one person today about something good God has done for you. Praise grows when it's spoken and shared.
