Isaiah 12:3

A well doesn't climb up to meet you — you have to lower your bucket and pull. That's the picture here. God's salvation isn't a distant idea to admire; it's a deep supply He's placed right in the middle of your life, and joy comes as you actively draw from it.

So what does drawing look like on a Tuesday morning? It looks like pausing before the chaos starts and naming one specific thing God has done for you. Maybe it's forgiveness for your past, strength for last year's storm, or simply His presence with you right now. Say it out loud. Gratitude is the bucket.

When stress hits at work, when the kids are melting down, when bad news lands in your inbox — those are the moments to reach for the rope. Instead of scrolling, complaining, or numbing out, try a thirty-second reset: breathe, whisper 'Thank You, Lord,' and remember that you belong to Him. That small act of drawing changes the temperature of your whole day.

Here's the best part: this well never runs dry. Your feelings will rise and fall, but the supply of God's grace doesn't. Some days the joy will gush, and some days it will be a quiet, stubborn choice to keep coming back. Either way, the water is there.

Make it a habit today, not a someday thing. Before your feet hit the floor, draw one bucket of thanks. You'll be surprised how a heart that keeps returning to the well learns to carry joy into places it never used to reach.

Dear Lord, thank You that Your salvation is a well that never runs dry. Teach me to stop at that well every day and draw joy from it, especially on my busiest and hardest days. Fill my heart with gratitude today. Amen.
