It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father doesn’t discipline?
When life gets hard, our first question is often, "Why me?" But this verse invites us to see our struggles differently. Discipline isn't rejection; it's proof that we belong to God. A Father who corrects His children is a Father who hasn't given up on them.
Think about how a coach pushes an athlete or a parent teaches a child to ride a bike. The hard parts are where growth happens. In the same way, the difficult season you're facing might be God strengthening muscles you didn't know you had, like patience, humility, and trust.
So today, instead of only asking God to remove the difficulty, try asking Him what He wants to build in you through it. Maybe jot down one way this trial is stretching you. Endurance grows when we stop running from discomfort and start leaning into what God is doing in the middle of it.
One more thing: resist the pull toward bitterness. It's easy to get discouraged when life doesn't go our way. But don't mistake God's training for His absence. He is close, He is working, and He is not finished with you yet.
Dear Lord, thank You for loving me enough not to leave me as I am. Help me endure today's challenges with a soft and trusting heart, knowing You are shaping me for good. Give me strength to keep going and eyes to see Your hand at work. Amen.
