Genesis 4:1

Eve could have just been a proud mother celebrating a new baby. Instead, she looked past herself and saw the real source of her blessing. She knew her child didn't come by her strength alone — he came with the Lord's help.

Most of us rush right past the moments where God shows up. A door opens at work, a friendship gets restored, strength appears on a hard day — and we shrug it off as luck or our own effort. Practicing the knowledge of God means slowing down long enough to say, 'That was Him.'

Here's a simple way to live this out: at the end of each day, name one thing that went right and trace it back to God. Write it down, tell your family, thank Him out loud. The more you practice noticing His help, the more your confidence shifts from what you can do to what He is doing.

Knowing God isn't just about collecting facts — it's about recognizing Him in real, ordinary life. Eve knew the Lord as the one who gives. Today, let that kind of knowledge shape how you work, how you speak, and how you raise the people entrusted to you.

Dear Lord, open my eyes to see Your hand in my ordinary days. Teach me to acknowledge You as the source of every good thing You bring into my life. Amen.
