Jacob worked seven years for the woman he loved, and those years felt like just a few days. That's what real love does—it changes how we see sacrifice. When your heart is truly invested, what once felt like a burden starts to feel like a privilege.
So ask yourself: where is God asking you to serve someone right now? Maybe it's a marriage that needs patience, aging parents who need your time, or kids who test your energy daily. Love usually shows up in the unglamorous work—the dishes, the long drives, the listening when you're tired.
Here's the hard question: are you keeping score? Resentment creeps in fast when we serve grudgingly or expect something in return. Ask God to change your heart so your service flows from love, not obligation.
This week, choose one act of service for someone you love—and do it quietly, without mentioning it or waiting for thanks. You might be surprised how light the load feels when love, not duty, is carrying it.
