Waiting is one of the hardest parts of following Jesus. We live in a world of instant everything, but God usually works slowly, quietly, and deep. This verse reminds us that the Christian life is not a sprint we finish today — it is a hopeful wait for what God has promised and will surely complete.
Galatians 5:5

For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.
Notice how we wait: through the Spirit, by faith. Not by gritting our teeth, performing better, or trying to earn God's approval. When you feel like you are never good enough, that is your cue to stop striving and start leaning on the Spirit who lives in you.
So what does this look like today? Maybe you are waiting on a health report, a job, a restored relationship, or a change in someone you love. Instead of letting worry run the show, bring that situation to God each morning and simply ask the Holy Spirit to steady your heart while you trust Him with the outcome.
And here is the good news that keeps us going: we are not waiting in the dark. In Christ, righteousness is already ours, and one day it will be fully complete. Wait like someone who knows the promise is certain — with expectation, not dread.
Dear Lord, thank You that I do not have to earn Your love or rush Your plan. Help me wait on You today through Your Spirit, with a heart full of hope instead of worry. Amen.
