Galatians 5:24

When you came to Christ, a real death happened — not just His death for you, but your death with Him. The old you, with all its cravings and unhealthy desires, was put to death at the cross. That means purity is not just a list of rules to keep. It is the new identity you get to live from every day.

Of course, you still feel the pull of old habits — the lingering look, the click you know you shouldn't make, the daydream that leads nowhere good. Those feelings don't disappear overnight, but they no longer own you. When temptation shows up, remember that it is arguing with someone who is already dead to it.

So get practical. Don't wait until the moment of temptation to fight — cut it off earlier. Delete the app, avoid the channel, walk out of the conversation, and ask one honest friend to check in on you regularly. Guarding your eyes and your mind today is how you crucify the flesh in real time.

And when you stumble, don't hide in shame or give up. Run to God quickly, confess honestly, and get back up. The cross does not just demand purity — it supplies the grace to grow in it, one surrendered day at a time.

Father, thank You that because I belong to Christ, my old life and its desires have been put to death with Him. Give me the courage to say no to temptation today, and fill my mind with what honors You. Amen.
