Ephesians 4:2 · Love
Reflection 1

Humility sounds lovely until someone cuts you off in traffic or criticizes something you worked hard on. But that is exactly where God wants it to show up, not in the easy moments, but in the ones that sting. True humility is not thinking poorly of yourself; it is simply putting others first instead of protecting your pride.

Reflection 2

Patience works the same way. It is easy to be patient when everything goes your way. The real test comes when your child asks the same question for the fifth time, a coworker drops the ball again, or a family member pushes the exact button they always push.

Reflection 3

Bearing with one another means we do not walk away when people are difficult. Love is not just a warm feeling; it is a decision to stay kind, stay gentle, and stay present, especially with the people who test us the most. Every relationship worth having requires a little of this.

Reflection 4

So here is your challenge today: pick one relationship where you have been short-tempered or impatient. Choose one small act of humility, maybe an apology, a listening ear, or simply letting someone else have the last word. Then watch how God begins to soften both hearts.

Prayer

Dear Lord, teach me to be humble and patient with the people around me, especially when it is hard. Help me love others the way You love me, with a grace that does not give up. Amen.
