Ephesians 1:4

Long before you woke up this morning, God had already chosen you. Your value was settled before you accomplished anything, failed at anything, or impressed a single person. That means you don't work for your worth — you live from it.

That truth changes how we handle an ordinary day. When comparison creeps in while scrolling your phone, or a coworker gets the credit you wanted, you can quietly remind yourself, 'I am chosen by God.' You don't have to fight for a seat at the table; you already have one.

But being chosen isn't just comfort — it's a calling. God chose you to be holy, which simply means set apart for Him. Today that might look like telling the truth when a lie would be easier, or walking away from a habit that keeps dragging you down.

And notice, all of this happens in love. Holiness isn't a grumpy checklist; it's love in action. Forgive the person who hurt you, be patient with your family, and show kindness to someone who can't repay you — that's what chosen people do. Live today like someone who was loved before the world began.

Dear Lord, thank You for choosing me before I ever did anything to deserve it. Help me live today from that identity — walking in holiness and showing Your love to everyone I meet. In Jesus' name, Amen.
