Ephesians 1:17

Paul prayed this prayer for everyday believers, not super-saints. He wasn't asking God to give them more information about Him, but a deeper, personal knowing of Him. That's a good reminder for us: wisdom doesn't start with figuring things out. It starts with getting to know the One who holds it all.

Think about your week ahead. There are decisions to make, conversations to navigate, maybe some problems you can't solve on your own. Before you reach for your own answers, this verse invites you to pause and ask God for His. He offers a wisdom that sees what we can't.

So how do you live this out today? Start with a simple morning request: "Lord, help me see my day the way You see it." When you read Scripture, don't rush for a quick thought, ask God to show you something real about who He is. And when a decision comes, pray first, even if it's just one honest sentence.

Here's the good news: God is not hiding from you. He delights to make Himself known to anyone who sincerely seeks Him. Keep asking, keep listening, and expect Him to answer in His timing and His way.

Knowing God more isn't a one-time event; it's a lifetime of small, daily turning toward Him. Every moment you choose to seek His wisdom over your own is a step closer to the Father of glory. That kind of knowing changes how you work, love, spend, and speak.

Father, give me a spirit of wisdom and open my eyes to really know You, not just facts about You. Help me seek Your perspective in my decisions today instead of leaning on my own understanding. Thank You that You love to reveal Yourself to those who ask. Amen.
