Ephesians 1:11

Have you ever felt like your life is just a series of accidents? Like you ended up where you are by chance, and maybe you don't quite fit? This verse flips that thinking upside down. Before you took your first breath, God had already claimed you as His own and written your name into His plan.

Think about what an inheritance means. It's not something you work for or earn. It's given because of whose you are. Your worth was settled at the cross, and no bad day, no failure, and no opinion from anyone else can change what God has already assigned to you.

So how do you live this out today? Start by catching the moments when you're striving to prove yourself, at work, at home, even at church. When that pressure rises, pause and remind yourself: I'm not working for approval, I'm living from it. That small shift changes how you handle criticism, comparison, and even your own disappointments.

Then take one step of courage. Since God is working all things according to His purpose, you can make that phone call, have that hard conversation, or take that next step without being paralyzed by fear. You are not drifting. You are carried.

Dear Lord, thank You that my life is not random but held in Your perfect plan. Help me to stop striving for worth You've already given me, and to walk today with quiet confidence in who I am in You. Amen.
