Ecclesiastes 7:20

Let's be honest with ourselves today: none of us has it all together. You've blown it this week, and so have I. That's not an excuse to give up on doing right, but it is an invitation to stop pretending. Drop the mask with God and with the people closest to you.

Here's the practical payoff: when you accept that you're a work in progress, you stop comparing yourself to others. That coworker, that family member, that person who rubbed you the wrong way today, they're fighting their own battles too. Grace starts looking a lot more reasonable.

This is where forgiveness gets real. Maybe someone hurt you and they haven't even apologized. Remembering your own need for mercy doesn't excuse their behavior, but it softens your heart enough to let go of the grudge. You forgive because you've been forgiven.

And don't forget to forgive yourself. Some of us are still carrying guilt over things God has already dealt with. Bring it to Him honestly, receive His mercy, and get back up. His grace is bigger than your worst day.

So today, practice small acts of grace: say the kind word, drop the sarcastic comment, release that old wound in prayer. Every time you do, you're living out the mercy you've received.

Dear Lord, thank You that Your mercy meets me right where I am, mess and all. Help me extend to others the same grace You so freely give me, and teach me to release the hurts I've been holding onto. In Jesus' name, Amen.
