Life comes in seasons. Some days are full of good news, open doors, and easy laughter. Other days bring loss, stress, or disappointment. This verse reminds us that God is the author of both kinds of days, and He has a purpose in each one.
Ecclesiastes 7:14

In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, to the end that man should not find out anything after him.
So when things are going well, enjoy it. Really enjoy it. Thank God out loud for the promotion, the healthy checkup, the time with people you love. Gratitude on the good days keeps pride from sneaking in and convinces your heart that every gift comes from Him.
And when a hard day comes, don't just push through it. Pause and consider. Ask God what He wants to teach you, what He's pruning, or what He's protecting you from. Painful seasons often do deep work in us that comfortable seasons never could.
Here's the practical part: hold your circumstances loosely. Neither the good days nor the bad days last forever, and none of us can predict what tomorrow holds. That's not meant to scare you. It's meant to send you to God every single morning, trusting Him with whatever the day brings.
One simple habit this week: if it's a good day, write down three things you're thankful for. If it's a hard day, write down one thing you're learning. Either way, you're living this verse instead of just reading it.
Dear Lord, thank You for being with me in every season, the sweet ones and the painful ones. Help me to celebrate Your blessings with a joyful heart and to lean into You when life is hard. Teach me what You want me to learn, and keep me trusting You one day at a time. Amen.
