“See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.
When you're hurting, it's easy to feel like healing is out of your hands. And honestly, it is. But here's the good news: it's fully in God's hands. He alone has the power to break and to restore, and nothing about your situation is beyond His reach.
So bring your pain to Him first, before anything else. Doctors, medicine, and counselors are gifts from God and worth using, but they are not the source of healing. God is. Ask Him plainly for what you need, whether it's a sick body, a broken heart, or a wounded relationship.
This verse also reminds us that God doesn't just heal. Sometimes He allows wounds, and that's hard to accept. But the same hand that permits the hurt is the hand that holds you through it. Nothing can snatch you away from Him, not even your worst day.
Today, try this: name your wound out loud to God, one specific thing. Then thank Him in advance for being in control of the outcome, even if the answer takes longer than you want. Trust grows in the waiting, and healing often begins the moment we stop trying to carry everything alone.
Dear Lord, I bring You my wounds today, the ones people can see and the ones they can't. I believe You alone hold the power to heal, and I trust Your timing even when it's hard. Thank You that my life is safely in Your hands. Amen.
