For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:3 · Identity
Reflection 1

We spend so much energy trying to prove ourselves — at work, online, even at church. We chase approval and fear that one failure will expose us as not enough. But Paul points to something radical: your real life is not on display for the world to judge. It is tucked away safely with Christ.

Reflection 2

Think about what hidden means. Something hidden cannot be touched, stolen, or damaged. Your identity in Christ is that secure — no criticism, no rejection, no follower count can reach it.

Reflection 3

This changes how you handle today. When someone tears you down, you do not have to collapse, because their words cannot touch who you truly are. When you mess up, you do not have to scramble to earn your way back into God's favor, because your standing was never based on your performance in the first place.

Reflection 4

So before the emails, the errands, and the hard conversations, remind yourself of this simple truth: the old you is gone, and your new life is kept safe with Jesus. Then live from that acceptance instead of working for it.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You that my life is hidden with Christ, safe beyond the reach of others' opinions and my own failures. Help me live today from that secure place instead of striving to prove myself. Amen.
