Colossians 3:2 · Focus
Reflection 1

What you focus on shapes how you feel, how you act, and even how you pray. Our minds are like a steering wheel—wherever they point, the rest of life follows. That's why God calls us to lift our attention upward, toward Him and His priorities.

Reflection 2

Practically, this starts with the first moments of your day. Before you reach for your phone and scroll through news or messages, take even two minutes to think about God—read a short passage, whisper a thank-you, or just sit quietly with Him. That small choice sets your inner direction before the noise begins.

Reflection 3

It also matters in the middle of the day, when worries about money, work, or family start spinning in your head. Try pausing and asking, 'Can I hand this to God right now?' Then do it—pray one simple sentence about it and keep moving. You're not ignoring your problems; you're refusing to carry them alone.

Reflection 4

Living this way isn't about escaping real life. It's about seeing your real life through heaven's lens—what's eternal, what's true, and what God is doing. Little by little, those upward glances train your heart to stay steady no matter what's happening around you.

Prayer

Father, help me lift my thoughts to You today instead of drowning in the noise around me. When my mind drifts toward worry, gently pull it back to what is true and eternal. I want my focus on You. Amen.
