Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.

Colossians 3:14 · Love
Reflection 1

Paul tells us to put on love like a piece of clothing we choose every morning. That's a helpful picture, because love isn't something that just happens to us. It's a decision we make again and again, especially on the days when we don't feel like it.

Reflection 2

Love is called the bond that holds everything else together, and that's exactly what it does. Patience without love eventually runs dry. Kindness without love turns into a performance. When love is at the center, all the other good things in our lives actually stick.

Reflection 3

So what does this look like today? Think of one person who is hard for you to love. Maybe a coworker, a family member, or someone who hurt you before. Choose one small act: listen without interrupting, speak gently instead of snapping back, or finally let go of an old offense.

Reflection 4

Love rarely makes headlines. It shows up in ordinary moments, like a text to check on a friend, letting someone go ahead of you, or holding your tongue when you'd rather win the argument. These small choices quietly hold your relationships, your home, and your witness together.

Reflection 5

You don't have to manufacture this kind of love on your own. God loved you first, and His love is the supply you draw from. Walk in that love today, and watch how it binds everything else in place.

Prayer

Dear Lord, teach me to walk in love today, especially when it's difficult. Help me love others the way You love me, patiently and without keeping score. Amen.
