We live in an age of endless information, yet so many of us still feel unsure about what really matters. Paul wanted believers to have more than facts about God. He wanted them settled, deep down, in the confidence that they truly knew Him. That kind of assurance changes how you handle a stressful week, a hard diagnosis, or an uncertain future.
Notice that this confidence doesn't grow in isolation. It grows when hearts are comforted and people are joined together in love. In other words, knowing God better is tied to loving people better. When you encourage a struggling friend, forgive someone who hurt you, or simply show up for your church family, your own understanding of God deepens too.
So here is a practical step for today: open your Bible not just to check a box, but to meet Someone. Ask God one honest question, like 'Lord, help me really know You this week,' and then talk it through with a mature believer over coffee or a phone call. Let love, not just curiosity, be what drives your pursuit of truth.
And when doubts creep in, don't panic. You don't have to figure out everything about life or theology to have peace. God has made Himself known in Jesus, and staying close to Him is worth more than having every answer.
Dear Lord, thank You for making Yourself known through Jesus. Draw me closer to You this week, and closer to Your people, so my heart would be comforted and my faith anchored in real understanding. Teach me to grow in knowledge that is rooted in love. Amen.
