Have you ever wondered what to pray for the people you love? Paul gives us a beautiful example here. When he prayed for his friends, he didn't just ask for easy circumstances or quick fixes. He asked God to fill them with the knowledge of His will, along with the wisdom to understand it.
That's a prayer we can borrow for ourselves today. Before a big decision, a hard conversation, or even just the start of a busy morning, pause and ask God to show you what He wants. His will matters more than our preferences, and He promises to make it known to those who sincerely seek it.
Notice that Paul prayed this constantly, not just once. Knowing God's will isn't a one-time download; it's a daily relationship. The more time you spend with Him in Scripture and prayer, the clearer His voice becomes in the noise of everyday life.
So here's a simple challenge: pick one person in your life and pray this prayer for them today, by name. Then pray it for yourself too. You might be surprised how it changes the way you see your day and the people in it.
Father, fill me with the knowledge of Your will today. Give me spiritual wisdom and understanding so my choices honor You, and I pray the same for the people I love. Amen.
