Colossians 1:23

Some days, hope feels sturdy. Other days, one piece of bad news can shake everything. Paul reminds us that the good news isn't a feeling we have to keep up. It's a foundation we get to stand on, no matter what the day brings.

So how do you stay grounded? The same way a tree grows deep roots: quietly, consistently, over time. A few minutes in Scripture each morning. An honest prayer before you check your phone. A conversation with a friend who points you back to God. Small habits like these hold you steady when storms come.

And when your hope does wobble, don't panic. Being steadfast doesn't mean never struggling. It means coming back. When fear creeps in, name it, then remind yourself of what's true: God's love for you didn't change because your circumstances did.

Paul called himself a servant of this hope, and that's an invitation for us too. Somebody in your life is running on empty right now. A simple text, a shared meal, a listening ear, you might be the reminder they need that good news is still real.

Stay planted today. Hope that's anchored doesn't have to chase every wind. It just holds on and lets God do the holding.

Dear Lord, thank You for a hope that doesn't move when everything else does. Ground me in Your truth today, and help me stay steady when life shakes. Use me to pass that hope to someone who needs it. Amen.
