Acts 9:34

Notice that Peter doesn't take any credit here. He points straight to Jesus as the source of healing, and then he gives one very simple instruction: get up. Whatever you're facing today, the power to change it doesn't come from your own willpower or from other people. It comes from Christ.

I love that the first thing Aeneas is told to do is something completely ordinary. Not something spectacular—just get up and take care of your bed. Sometimes we're waiting for God to do something huge while He's simply asking us to take the next small, practical step. Making your bed can be an act of faith.

And Aeneas didn't hesitate. He got up immediately. When God prompts you—to forgive someone, to rest instead of striving, to ask for help, to try again after failure—don't wait until you feel ready. Feelings often follow obedience, not the other way around.

So here's your challenge today: what's the one small step you've been putting off? Maybe it's an apology, a phone call, opening your Bible again, or simply getting out of bed with hope instead of dread. Do that one thing, and trust that God is restoring you as you move.

Dear Lord, thank You that Your healing power is just as real today as it was then. Give me the courage to get up and take the next small step of faith, trusting You with everything else. Amen.
