2 Corinthians 9:8

Have you ever held back from helping someone because you were afraid you would not have enough left over? That fear is more common than we admit. But this verse flips that thinking upside down — God supplies what you need so you can be a channel of blessing, not a container that hoards.

Notice how the word abound shows up again and again here. God is not promising luxury; He is promising sufficiency — enough for today, with something to share. His grace covers your finances, yes, but also your time, energy, and patience.

So where do you feel stretched thin right now? Maybe the budget is tight, the calendar is full, or your emotional tank is running on empty. Instead of clenching your hands, open them. Tell God honestly what you lack and ask Him to pour His grace into that exact area.

Then look for one simple way to give today. Pay for the person behind you in line, drop off a meal for a tired friend, or give an hour to someone who needs help. When you act generously even while feeling stretched, you will discover that God really does supply — often in ways you never expected.

Dear Lord, thank You that You are able to supply everything I need. Where I feel I do not have enough, help me trust You and keep my hands open to others. Make me a channel of Your generosity today. Amen.
