For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
Think about what Jesus actually did. He had everything, and He gave it up, not because He had to, but because He wanted you. That is what real wealth looks like: not what you hold onto, but what you're willing to give away for someone else's good.
Most of us spend a lot of energy worrying that we don't have enough. But this verse flips that around. If you belong to Jesus, you are already rich, rich in forgiveness, in purpose, in a Father who will never leave you. Start your day by naming what you have instead of staring at what you lack.
Now take that abundance and let it flow outward. Someone around you is struggling, maybe with money, maybe with loneliness, maybe with something heavy they can't carry alone. This week, pick one person and give something real: a meal, an hour of your time, a word of encouragement, or quiet help with a bill.
Generosity gets easier when you remember you're giving from overflow, not from an empty account. Jesus didn't give leftovers, and He didn't give reluctantly. The more you practice open hands, the less power money and worry will have over your heart.
Don't wait until you feel rich to be generous. You already are, because of what Christ did for you. Live like it today.
Dear Lord, thank You for the gift of Jesus, who gave up everything so I could have what matters most. Help me hold my things loosely and open my hands to someone in need this week. Teach me to live from Your abundance, not my own. Amen.
