Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying.
Have you ever tried to share your faith with someone and felt like the words just bounced off? You explained God's love as clearly as you could, and they shrugged or changed the subject. Paul understood that frustration. He reminds us that when people can't see the truth, something is blinding them — it's not that you said it wrong.
That takes real pressure off you. You are not responsible for opening anyone's eyes; only God can do that. Your part is to love people well, live differently, and speak up when the door opens. The results belong to Him.
So don't give up on that person you've been praying for. Keep showing kindness, keep answering their questions gently, and keep living in a way that makes the gospel visible. Sometimes the veil lifts slowly, through years of steady faithfulness, not one dramatic conversation.
And take an honest look at your own heart, too. Busyness, distraction, and old wounds can dull our own sight over time. Ask God to keep His message fresh and uncovered in you, so the light others see is the real thing.
Dear Lord, thank You that You open eyes that I never could. Help me share Your love without growing discouraged, and keep my own heart clear and open to You. Amen.
