1 Thessalonians 2:20

Paul discovered something counterintuitive: his greatest joy wasn't found in accomplishments or comforts, but in people. The ones he prayed for, taught, and walked alongside became his pride and gladness. Real, lasting joy tends to come from relationships, not from what we can get for ourselves.

Think about the people God has placed around you right now. Maybe it's a young believer who needs encouragement, a neighbor going through a hard season, or a friend who's drifted from church. Investing in people is never wasted, even when it feels slow or unseen.

So here's a simple challenge for today: reach out to one person. Send the text, make the call, drop by with coffee, or simply ask how they're really doing. Small acts of genuine care build the kind of bonds that carry joy for years.

And flip it around for a moment. Ask yourself if you're a source of joy to the people who pour into you, like a pastor, parent, or mentor. Living faithfully and gratefully is one of the sweetest gifts you can give them.

At the end of the day, both giving and receiving this kind of joy points back to God, because every good relationship is a reflection of His love for us.

Dear Lord, thank You for filling my life with people who matter. Help me invest in them generously today, and teach me to find my joy in loving others the way You love me. Amen.
