Have you ever felt like God might give up on you? Maybe you failed again, or life has been so hard that you wonder if He's still there. Here's the truth: God's grip on you doesn't depend on your performance. He made you His own because He wanted to, and His reputation is bound up in keeping you.
That means your belonging to God isn't fragile. When you stumble, you don't lose your place in His family. When you feel distant, He hasn't moved. His faithfulness rests on who He is, not on how well you behaved this week.
So how do you live this out today? Stop trying to earn what's already been given. Walk into your job, your home, and your struggles as someone who is genuinely wanted by God. When temptation comes, remind yourself whose you are. When you fall, run to Him instead of hiding, because He has promised never to let you go.
This also changes how you treat other believers. If God doesn't forsake them, neither should we. Be quick to encourage, slow to write people off. You're part of a people God proudly calls His own, and that identity is worth living out loud.
Take a moment today and simply say it: 'I belong to God, and He will not let me go.' Let that truth steady you through whatever comes.
Father, thank You for choosing me as Your own and for promising never to walk away. Help me live today with confidence in Your faithful love, and remind me of who I am when I forget. In Jesus' name, Amen.
