Peter wrote to people who had never met Jesus face to face, yet they loved Him deeply. That's us, too. We follow someone we've never seen, and some days that feels like a stretch. But this kind of faith is exactly where real joy takes root.
Notice that this joy doesn't come from perfect circumstances. It comes from trusting a person. You can have a messy week, unanswered prayers, and heavy news, and still carry a deep gladness underneath it all, because Jesus is with you in the middle of it.
So how do you live this out today? Talk to Jesus like someone who's actually in the room with you, because He is. Thank Him out loud for small things: a warm cup of coffee, a friend's text, a quiet moment in the car. Gratitude trains your heart to notice His hand in ordinary hours.
And when joy feels distant, don't chase the feeling. Go back to what you know: He loves you, He's faithful, and He isn't finished with your story. Belief like that slowly grows into a joy too deep for words.
Dear Lord, thank You that I can love and trust You even though I haven't seen You. Help me find my joy in You today, no matter what comes my way. Fill my heart with that quiet gladness words can't fully hold. Amen.
