1 John 5:1

Believing in Jesus isn't just agreeing with a fact—it changes who you are. When you trust Him, you become part of God's own family. That's not a small thing. It means the Creator of the universe calls you His child.

But notice what John says comes next: if you love the Father, you'll love His other children too. Faith and love are joined at the hip. You can't truly love God while treating His family with coldness or contempt.

So think practically. Is there a believer you've been avoiding—someone at church who rubs you wrong, or a Christian you disagree with? Remember, they're your brother or sister. Family doesn't have to be easy to still be family.

Today, take one small step. Send an encouraging message, pray for a fellow believer by name, or choose patience with someone difficult. Love isn't a feeling you wait for—it's a choice you make, one act at a time.

Your faith in Jesus is the root; your love for God's people is the fruit. Let both show up in your life today.

Father, thank You for making me Your child through faith in Jesus. Help me love Your family the way You love them—even when it's hard. Make my faith visible today through simple acts of love. Amen.
