What you look forward to shapes how you live today. When your hope is anchored in Jesus, it does something powerful inside you: it makes you want to live clean. Not because you have to earn His love, but because you love Him and you know you will see Him one day.
Purity sounds like a big, intimidating word, but in real life it is simply this: clearing out the things that dull your heart toward God. Maybe that is a habit, a relationship, an app on your phone, or thoughts you keep entertaining. Ask yourself honestly, does this draw me closer to Jesus or pull me away from Him?
Start small and start today. Pick one thing you know is weighing down your soul and hand it over to God. Replace it with something that feeds your hope, like a few verses in the morning, a short prayer on your commute, or an honest conversation with a friend who points you to Christ.
Here is the good news: you are not doing this in your own strength. God's Spirit is at work in you, and every small choice to live clean is a step toward the hope you hold. Keep your eyes on Him, and your life will follow.
Dear Lord, thank You for the living hope I have in Jesus. Help me today to let go of anything that pulls my heart away from You and to fill my life with things that draw me closer. Purify me, Lord, until the day I see You face to face. Amen.
