1 Corinthians 6:17

If you belong to Jesus, you are not just forgiven or admired from a distance. Your spirit is joined with His. Think about how close that is. He is not watching your life from far away; He is woven into who you are.

That means your identity is settled before you do anything today. You don't wake up trying to earn God's closeness. You wake up already connected to Him. Let that truth steady you before the emails, the errands, and the pressures start talking louder than grace.

Practically, try living today with an awareness of that union. Before a hard conversation, pause and remember Jesus is right there with you. When temptation shows up, remember that your choices involve Him now, because your life and His are one. That is not a burden; it is the safest place to be.

It also means you can stop searching for identity in other places. Other people's approval, old labels, past failures — none of those get the final word over you. When you stumble, don't run from the Lord you're joined to. Run to Him, because He is as close as your own breath.

So today, walk through your ordinary moments with an extraordinary awareness: you and Jesus share one life. Let that shape how you speak, choose, and rest.

Father, thank You that I am joined to You, one spirit with Your Son. Help me live today aware of that closeness, making choices that honor our union. Remind me that I never face anything alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.
