1 Corinthians 2:5

We live in a world that celebrates cleverness—credentials, arguments, having the smartest take. It's easy to let our confidence rest on how well we can reason things out or explain ourselves. But deep down, we all know our thinking has limits.

The good news is that God never asked you to have all the answers. He asked you to trust His power. That means when logic runs out, when a situation looks impossible by every human measure, you can still stand firm—because your footing isn't your own thinking. It's Him.

So how does that look today? Before a big decision, pray first instead of only after you've run out of options. When someone challenges your faith, you don't have to win the debate; you just need to stay close to the One who is actually at work. And when you feel too ordinary or unqualified, remember that God's power doesn't require an impressive resume.

Living by God's power also means expecting Him to show up—in answered prayers, changed hearts, doors that open where no one saw a way. Keep a simple record of what He does in your life. Over time, your faith will rest on real experiences with Him, not just on arguments or opinions.

Dear Lord, forgive me for the times I've leaned on my own understanding instead of You. Help me trust Your power in the places where my wisdom falls short. Make my faith unshakable because it rests in You alone. Amen.
