Some things in life simply can't be figured out with logic alone. God's wisdom often looks backward to a world chasing success, status, and self. That's why even brilliant, capable people can miss what God is doing—it takes His Spirit to see it clearly.
Practically, that means we should start with prayer instead of pure brainpower. Before you open your Bible, make a big decision, or face a hard problem, pause and ask God to open your eyes. A short, honest prayer—"Lord, help me see this the way You do"—can change everything about your day.
It also means we shouldn't be surprised when following Jesus looks foolish to others. Forgiving someone who hurt you, giving when it costs you, staying faithful when nobody notices—these don't always add up on paper. But God's Spirit makes them make sense in a way the world never will.
So today, lean into the Spirit rather than only your own understanding. Spend a few quiet minutes listening before you start deciding. Let God's priorities set your focus instead of the noise and pressure around you.
Dear Lord, thank You for giving me Your Spirit so I can understand Your heart. Open my eyes today to see things Your way, and help me choose Your wisdom over my own. Amen.
