For you all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be exhorted.
Hearing from God isn't reserved for pastors, preachers, or spiritual superstars. This verse tells us that every believer can speak words from God that build others up. You don't need a title or a seminary degree—just a willing heart and a listening ear.
Notice the phrase 'one by one.' God cares about how we share, not just that we share. In a small group, a family conversation, or a chat with a friend, make room for others to speak too. Listen first, then share what God places on your heart.
The goal is always that people learn and are encouraged. Before you speak, ask yourself two simple questions: Will this help someone know God better? Will it lift someone up? Real prophetic words always strengthen, comfort, and point people toward Jesus.
This week, look for one person God might want to encourage through you. It could be a discouraged coworker, a friend who needs truth spoken in love, or someone at church who could use a word of hope. Ask God to give you the words—and then be brave enough to share them.
Dear Lord, thank You that You still speak today and that You want to use me. Give me a listening heart and the courage to share words that strengthen and encourage others. Make me a vessel of Your hope this week. Amen.
