The Holy Spirit doesn't hand out identical gifts to everyone, and that's on purpose. Some believers carry an extraordinary confidence in God's power, while others are used to bring healing and comfort to the sick. Neither gift is more important than the other, because it's the same Spirit doing the work in each person.
This means you don't need a title or a seminary degree to pray for someone who is hurting. If a friend mentions they're facing an illness or a crisis, offer a simple prayer right there in the moment. You don't have to have the right words, just a willing heart and a trust that God is able.
It's also easy to look at someone else's gift and feel like yours doesn't measure up. But the body of Christ needs every part to function. Your quiet faithfulness might be exactly what someone in your life needs today, even if nobody ever notices it.
This week, ask God to make you sensitive to His Spirit's leading. Watch for the person at work, at church, or in your own home who needs a touch from God. Remember that healing isn't always physical; sometimes God uses ordinary people like you to bring peace, hope, and restoration to a weary soul.
Dear Lord, thank You for giving Your Spirit to each of us in unique and beautiful ways. Use me this week to bring Your healing and hope to someone who needs it. I trust You to work through my simple obedience. Amen.
