We live in a world that celebrates being smart, strong, and self-made. We admire people who figure everything out on their own and never show weakness. But God's simplest instructions often look completely upside down compared to human logic.
Think about it: forgive someone who hurt you? Give when you're already stretched thin? Admit you're wrong and ask for help? By the world's standards, that looks foolish, yet these very things often bring the peace and breakthroughs that all our clever strategies never could.
So here's a question for today: where are you leaning on your own understanding instead of God's? Maybe you've been trying to control a situation, plot your next move, or fix things in your own strength. Pick one area and surrender it to Him, even if His way seems too simple, too slow, or too counterintuitive.
God's wisdom doesn't always make sense at first, but it always holds up. What He asks of you is never a setup for failure. His ways, even the ones that look small or strange, carry more power than your best plan ever could.
Dear Lord, forgive me for the times I've trusted my own thinking more than Yours. Help me follow Your ways today, even when they don't make sense to me. I believe Your wisdom is greater than anything I could figure out on my own. Amen.
